Last updated: 12 September 2026
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. They apply to your use of the Europa Investigations Ltd website and to services provided by us. By instructing us to carry out work, you agree to these Terms together with any written quotation, instruction or service agreement issued for the work.

Client Instructions
All work is subject to written instructions and confirmation of the applicable fees and scope of work.
Clients must provide accurate information and have a lawful and legitimate reason for requesting our services. We may request identification or additional information before accepting an instruction.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue any instruction where we believe it may be unlawful, inappropriate, disproportionate, unethical or contrary to our professional obligations.
We may require payment in advance or a deposit before work begins.
Fees, Quotations & Additional Work
Fees, service levels and any applicable expenses will be confirmed in writing before work commences.
We will normally seek approval before carrying out work outside the agreed scope. Additional work, escalation, further attendance or changes to instructions may result in additional charges.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, third-party charges, disbursements, travel, mileage, parking and similar expenses are payable by the client where applicable.
Mileage is charged at £0.45 per mile for travel beyond a 20-mile radius of Bristol, unless otherwise agreed.
Digital Tracing is offered on a No Trace – No Fee basis.
A successful trace means that, following reasonable investigative efforts, we identify current residential address suitable for lawful contact or service.
If we are unable to achieve a successful trace under the Digital Tracing service no professional tracing fee will be charged.
The terms and scope of each tracing instruction will be confirmed in writing before work begins.
For a Verified Trace, a fixed fee applies to the physical work carried out after establishing the most current residence through database intelligence. Because this fee specifically covers the physical deployment and field work, the fee remains fully payable for the work performed, even if the residence cannot be ultimately confirmed during the physical visit.
Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices are payable immediately on receipt.
We reserve the right to suspend further work, withhold reports or certificates where legally permitted, or decline further instructions if invoices remain unpaid.
Cancellation & Suspension
We may suspend or cancel an instruction where:
-
required information or payment is not provided;
-
the client requests unlawful or inappropriate activity;
-
the scope of work changes materially;
-
continuing the work would create a legal, ethical or safety concern; or
-
invoices remain unpaid.
Where work has already been undertaken, the client remains responsible for applicable fees and authorised expenses incurred up to the point of cancellation.
Investigation Results
Investigations depend on the availability, accuracy and accessibility of information. We will carry out work with reasonable care and professional diligence, but we cannot guarantee a particular outcome, including locating a person, obtaining evidence, serving documents or establishing a particular fact.
Any information or intelligence supplied in a report is based on information available to us at the time of the investigation and should be assessed in the context in which it was obtained.
Confidentiality & Data Protection
We treat client information and investigation matters as confidential, subject to legal and professional requirements.
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection law. Further information is contained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
We may disclose information where required or permitted by law, including where necessary for legal proceedings, regulatory requirements, law enforcement or the protection of our legal interests.
